OBJECTIVE

 

My career goals are to use my creative, innovative, and leadership skills and experience as a director, curator, artist, and educator to build thoughtful community impact. 

I am a highly motivated art professional with experience in public art gallery administration, grant writing, exhibition development, contemporary art, and community engagement. I have a proven track record for advancing contemporary art through accessible formats. I am passionately driven to educate and challenge people of all ages to aspire to reach their academic and creative goals.

CURRENT: DOCTOR OF EDUCATION : LEADERSHIP - 2026

Critical research focuses on leadership, policy, and organizational development in cultural institutions. It examines cultural institutions’ roles in community health, education, and equity.

MASTER OF ARTS IN INTERDISCIPLINARY STUDIES 2022

York University, Toronto, On

Specializations: Art History & Fine Arts, Geography, Communication & Culture

Thesis: Northern Familiarities. Discussing the visual cultural landscape of the Francophone community of Northern Ontario. I curated two exhibitions: Sudbury Art Gallery and Propeller Art Gallery (Toronto). A body of artwork was created, accompanied by an in-depth thesis. A published program book with critical curatorial thought was part of this project.

Topics: Place-Based Cultural Identity – Contemporary Art & Power – French Canadian History – Heritage and Visual Culture – Cultural Geography – Collective Memory.

Experience curating exhibitions; installing and digital publishing ephemeral installations by female-identified Ontario artists; currently documenting and installing in various sites. Ephemeral installations at Corde are rooted in the re-location of a clothesline (corde à linge) in conversation with the traditional caring role of the female. Publication and website launch August 2022.

Make Art Happen is our motto. The mission of the Region of Waterloo Arts Fund (Arts Fund) is to contribute to the vibrancy of the arts and cultural sector in Waterloo Region. It does this by promoting, encouraging, and providing support to arts organizations and individual artists. The Directors review hundreds of applications a year to release grants to the Waterloo, Kitchener, Cambridge, and area artists.

BUREAU DU REGROUPEMENT DES ARTISTES VISUELS EN ONTARIO (BRAVO)

Organize activities that meet the needs of representation, training, promotion, and support to disseminate the visual arts. Revitalize francophone visual arts, fine crafts and media in Ontario and elsewhere. Encourages and builds communications networks that promote interaction among Ontario artists. Execute projects and curate exhibitions for Central Ontario artists.
